Product Description
The Jonard Tools BTR-6 Buffer Tube Ring tool provides quick access to fibers inside buffer tubes from 1.2 mm to 6 mm in diameter and will work with buffer tubes with wall thicknesses from 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm. The tool is light and durable with a hardened steel blade for long life and includes a hole for tethering.
Easy to use:
- Squeeze handles together to open jaws
- Locate where you want to ring the buffer tube and place buffer tube between jaws
- Release handles to close jaws and rotate tool around the buffer tube 2-4 times to ring cut
- Note: Depending on the buffer tube material and wall thickness more or less turns may be needed
- Squeeze handles together to open jaws and remove buffer tube
- Pull the buffer tube apart at ring location. You may need to bend the tube to break the tube at the ring cut location
